Sally Capp made history in 2018 when she became the first woman directly elected to the position of Lord Mayor of Melbourne. Since then, she has led the city through tumultuous times including upheaval in the office, the summer bushfires, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Through it all, Sally has retained her positive attitude, her drive to learn more, and her passion for getting involved and creating a better city for us all.
Sally shares her journey into the role of Lord Major, her previous career in the public sector, and the challenging and rewarding aspects of her position. She offers insights into mentoring, lively debate and discussion, coping with criticism, work life balance, and what she believes are the most important qualities of a leader.
